How to Open a File

  1. Use your assigned credentials to access the system.
  2. Once on the dashboard, locate and click on the Case Management module.
  3. Click on “Client & Matters,” then select “Matters/Files” from the dropdown.
  4. A list of all registered files will appear on your screen.
  5. To add a new file, click the Open New File button. This will open a registration form
  6. Complete the form by providing the following information: Associate handling, client, file type, file reference number, file name/subject and Approval partner
  7. After entering all the necessary details, click “Open File” to save the file to the system.


 

 

Bulk Actions: Use these options to manage multiple files at once:

  • Close File(s) – Mark the selected file(s) as completed and resolved
  • Re-open File(s) – Reactivate previously closed files.
  • Mark File(s) as In Abeyance – Place files on a temporary hold
  • Mark Files (s) as Dormant – Mark files as inactive due to extended inactivity.
  • Change Responsible Advocate – Assign selected files to a different lawyer.
