This is the amount of money that a client owes to or is owed by a business at the beginning of a new accounting period. This balance is carried forward from the previous period and serves as the starting point for all financial transactions with that client in the new period.


Steps:

 

  1. Log into startaz.io
  2. Locate and click on the Office Administration module
  3. Click on the Opening Balance dropdown
  4. Select Client/File Opening Bal. Amounts Entry from the presented options
  5. This directs you to a Client Opening Balances form. Complete the form by filling in the necessary details i.e. Client, file, account type, account to allocate to, date, amount and selected DR/CR (debit or credit)
  6. Once done click on the Submit button to complete. You will receive a pop-up notification reading (Balance Posted Successfully)
