Opening balances are the starting account balances at the beginning of a new accounting period. These balances are carried over from the ending balances of the previous accounting period.


Steps:

 

  1. Log into startaz.io
  2. Locate and click on the Office Administration module
  3. Click on the Opening Balance dropdown menu
  4. Select G/L Opening Bal. Amounts Entry from the presented options
  5. This directs you to a G/L Account Opening Balance form. Complete the form by filling in the necessary details i.e. G/L account number,  supplier when posting opening balance for the suppliers, amount and select whether DR/CR (debit or credit)
  6. Once done click on the Submit button to complete. You will receive a pop-up notification reading (Balance Posted Successfully)
